Good Food Review

Food is a spactacular thing. YUM. Some of the best Itailian food I’ve had has come from a tiny restrauant in Oak Park called La Bella. So of course, this is the place I chose to review. The restaraunt probably has about 10 tables in the entire building, and I’m certain that they have very little chefs on staff. But that doesnt matter, the food does. I have a theory that if you go to a restuarant and you physically have to take the bread away from the table so you have room for the main course, the restrerant is probably a good one. (OH Their bread is amazing)

One of my favorite dishes..ever.. is Chicken Marsala. I haven’t come across an Italian restruant that serves this dish better. According to my father, “I tend to eat like a bird”. However, the one thing he seems to notice everytime we go there is how empty my plate is after we eat. I unfortunately, never come home with leftovers. Not only do they have some the most delicous Italian dishes, but their desserts... OH MY GOD. I have a weakness for cannolis, their cannolis are serious Italian bakery good. If youre one who prefers tiramisu, you are in luck. To be honest my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The only problem is that if you are starving and need food fast, you might not want to endure the whole waiting for food thing. Good food takes time.

King Still King?

Well it might be kind of pointless to publish a post about this; seeing how Martain Luther King day has passed, but ill do it anyway. The topic of this blog poses a good question though. Last monday I dont think I gave any deep thought about the fact that it was MLK day. Which I regret that it has come to that. It was just another day off for me. When you think about Martain Luther King and what he did, he’s really just irreplaceable in history. He made such a large impact on a part of history that can never be altered in the same way again. In that respect, he will always be the King. For what it means to everyone else however, is a different story. His presence in modern day society has diminished. We are rewarded with a day of in his behalf, but really how many people actually recognize why its a day off? How many people take the time to honor him on the day off? I, for one, am guilty of doing this. Thinking about it now, I wish I could say I did more than watch trash tv and finish homework. But thats what I did. Hopefully next year, I’ll take the mentality of treating this day as just another day off and turn it into a more productive day. He isnt really the king of anything now that has a large impact on the average american citizen today.

I'm a Shoe

Well, I'm not a shoe..
but If i were a shoe.. I would have to be a cross between an Ugg and a flip flop. not necessarily a furry flip flop just the characteristics between both types of shoe. I really am not big on shoes.. I would rather wear an Ugg over a stylish boot. Don’t get me wrong...Uggs are ugly. Im pretty sure that’s what its short for, but I like being comfortable and warm. Plain and Simple, They aren’t complicated; there are no ties, snaps, or zippers etc.. You just slip them on go. I’m a cold weather person, an Ugg is a cold weather boot. I like to think its one of the most “down to earth” shoes. My personality isn’t really one thats flashy and over the top. An Ugg definitely isn’t flashy or over the top. I think a flip flop is also a good representation of that same personality. In the summer all I wear are flip flops. They are one of those shoes that are always in your closet, you always have a pair no matter what. Basically, they are dependable. I don’t have to worry about ruining them because they aren’t the most expensive or sophisticated. I don’t know, shoes just aren’t really a big deal to me. The two I picked I think show that mentality, because they obviously aren’t the most amazing shoes someone could wear.
