So saving the earth, I think everyone should invest in a hybrid. I have one and it's wonderful. But if you're not affected by the whole idea of saving the planet, you should get one because it saves you money and gas prices are INSANE. Especially in Chicago. I'm really curious to see if smart cars are better than hybrids. If they are then I strongly support clown cars. I'm not a fan of the train, but I think its a really good way to reduce CO2 emissions. But I hate the train so instead, I car pool. My mom is kind of a freak about plugging things in and then leaving the cords plugged into the wall after you're done charging etc... so I guess I've become accustomed to making sure I don't "ghost charge". Even if you unplug a phone the cord is still charging. They say if you make sure you unplug everything you're using significantly less energy, plus you're saving money. I like recycled bags, the mesh kind that you get at grocery stores. They're great, my family saves all of them. If you're serious about recyling then you should be really aware of the things that can be recycled. A lot of people don't know this but a lot of what is recycled can't be. Instead of putting them in your blue bins, you should bring your items to a recycling plant, that way you know all of your items are actually going towards being recycled. I should do the whole "preserve water thing" I really should...but I like showers too much. So I make up for it in other ways.
